We were SO close!

We were SO close!

.3. 3 TENTHS of a second kept us from AA (Automatically Advancing) into the American Semis 2026! The good news= I get to try again........and again, and again and again until I run out of entry fee money. Which, God willing, won't be until I have accumulated enough points to get in LOL!

But honestly, I don't think I am going to need the points! There's a good chance Spencer will get in if he keeps running the way he is. We had a mistake at the first that we rarely make and a small trip at the 3rd and still almost got 'em! I think there might have been some first time American jitters involved, but I'll never admit it. One of my very favorite things to do is to compete under a lot of pressure- Iron sharpens Iron...or something like that.

I didn't exactly try an easy qualifying event- Glenrose, Tx is notorious for having some of the toughest competitors in the world, per capita, than anywhere else in Texas. Glenrose/Stephenville weren't coined Cowboy Capital of the World for no reason. That being said, I think when I step out of "the capital", I might have a pretty dang good chance of getting in!

One might decide to wait for a smaller qualifier to enter (somewhere outside of Texas would be nice) but NO, not me, I am going to make my second attempt at the INFAMOUS Patriot Event....because what's better than trying to qualify at one of the toughest events of the year than trying once more at one of the toughest events of the year, this time in Ft. Worth, Texas! Makes a ton of sense!

I am going in with realistic expectations- The worst thing that can happen is I get more points, climb higher in the standings, in which I am already sitting good and possibly make it back to the Patriot short go where the big money is.

Wish us luck!
